This sweet newborn session took place right at home in Mt. Lebanon, PA. As a Mt. Lebanon Newborn Photographer, I love when we can incorporate the places where families spend their everyday lives.
We had the most beautiful weather that day, so we ended up photographing much of the session on their amazing porch. Big sister joined us with her own baby doll in tow, carrying her around just like Mom and Dad carried her new baby sister.
She was also VERY excited when it was finally her turn to hold the baby, and she looked like a total pro!
An At-Home Newborn Session in Mt. Lebanon
This sweet family welcomed me into their Mt. Lebanon home to photograph their newest baby girl. Big sister was ready for the occasion with her own little baby doll. She carried her baby around just like Mom and Dad carried her new little sister. It was so sweet!
With young kids, I never expect everything to go exactly as planned. In fact, the best photos usually happen when they aren’t doing exactly what I asked. Those little unscripted moments are often the ones that feel the most like your family.

Taking Newborn Photos Outside
The weather was beautiful on the day of their session. Their home also has an amazing porch, so we decided to take advantage of it. We photographed most of their session right outside.
This is one of the things I love about in-home newborn sessions. We can use the spaces that already feel like home to your family. If the weather cooperates, we can even step outside for part of your session.
It gave us a beautiful mix of family photos while still keeping everything relaxed and easy.

Timeless Newborn Photos Without Bringing All the Extras
Even when your newborn session takes place at home, I bring what we need for those classic baby photos.
I always bring my newborn beanbag for the timeless, close-up images of baby that we all love. I also provide wraps and bows that photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your little one.
You don’t need to gather a million things before I arrive. I tell parents to have what they would normally bring when leaving the house with their baby. You can also include any special outfits or meaningful pieces you would like photographed.
My goal is to make your newborn session feel as easy as possible.

A Client-Favorite Dress for Mom
Mom also borrowed her dress from my client wardrobe. She chose a Nothing Fits But dress that has become a favorite with my clients.
My client wardrobe is available to help take one more decision off your plate. I have beautiful options for moms and children that photograph well and coordinate easily with the rest of the family.
You just had a baby. Figuring out what everyone should wear does not need to be another thing on your list!

Newborn Photography That Feels Like Your Family
This family was so sweet and so much fun to photograph. Between big sister caring for her baby doll, proudly holding her new sister, and all those little moments in between, there was so much personality to capture.
That is always what I want from a newborn session.
Of course, we’ll get the beautiful photos of your new baby. But I also want to preserve what your family feels like during this season.
If you’re looking for a Mt. Lebanon Newborn Photographer, I would love to photograph this season for your family. In-home newborn sessions are relaxed, flexible, and designed to make things as easy as possible for you.
