Heirloom Portraits

Heirloom portraits are a Southern Tradition. These studio sessions offer stunning heirloom vignette portraits. They are timeless snapshots of your child, much like the images we have of our parents and grandparents when they were small.  Heirloom Portrait Sessions are offered at the studio a few times per month.

Inquire below. I will send you a link to view my availability and book your session. Outdoor sessions take place an hour or two before sunset and studio sessions take place in the morning or afternoon. 
Based on the questionnaire you fill out, I will support your family in the way that you need. Typically, I take a few minutes to meet your family and let everyone warm up to me and my camera. We start with a few posed shots while kids are more clingy then get to the fun and playful photos. 
Your gallery is delivered within 4 weeks. You will receive a link via email to view your photos. Prints, albums, and wall art can be purchased directly from the gallery. Purchasing from my professional photo lab to ensures the best photo quality.

Q: How can you support my neurodivergent child?

Every child is different. I let you tell me what works best for your child! I'm happy to send over a video introducing myself and my camera, make a social story, follow a reward system, play for a bit before the session, take only candid photos. We have endless options. My priority is making your family comfortable.

Q: Is getting my Hair and makeup done necessary?

The hair and makeup artist that I work with is the best of the best. She worked in the bridal industry for many years. She will pamper you and make you feel like a million bucks. Don't we all need that sometimes!? We can take care of everything for you - hair, makeup, dresses. Just show up and know that you will look AMAZING in your photos. 

Absolutely! You are not required to purchase prints or artwork. However, I highly encourage you to invest in high quality prints of your images. Walgreens prints will not do your photos justice! Think how much fun your kids will have a few years down the road leafing through a beautiful album we created and remembering that special time in your lives.

Q: can i just get the digitals?

Your wardrobe plays a huge role in the overall aesthetic of your final gallery. I offer a complimentary client wardrobe for moms & kids. The gorgeous dresses for mom range in sizes from S-1X.  I am acquiring new pieces and sizes all the time.  I will send you a style guide for the family and I am happy to make a Pinterest inspiration board for your family as well. Just ask!

Photo sessions can be intimidating when you aren't sure what to expect and worry that the photographer is going to be judgmental. I know how much I've worried about how my kids will act for photos in the past. Let's take that stress away and work together to make the session as fun and laid back as possible. Every kid has their bad days and if it happens to fall on our photo session day, we'll roll with it!

I spent several years working with babies, kids, and adolescents with behavioral health concerns, sensory issues and past trauma. I also provided nursing care to kids with various medical concerns when I worked at Children's Hospital. I am sensitive to those needs and would love nothing more than to work with you and problem solve together! We can do some pre-session planning to figure out the best locations, motivators, triggers etc. I'm here for you and your family just as you are! I can't wait to show you the artwork we create for you to hang on your walls.
