Pittsburgh holiday mini sessions
The holiday season is almost here, which means Pittsburgh holiday mini sessions are back! This year’s sessions will include some of my favorite traditions from past years. Think cookies and milk, letters to Santa, and plenty of opportunities for joyful holiday photos.
These sessions are designed to give you that beautiful holiday card photo while also creating space for your kids to have fun. Some of my favorite images are often the ones that happen in between the posed moments!
Cookies, Milk & Letters to Santa
We’ll have our cookies and milk setup again this year, with cookies from Bethel Bakery. Kids can enjoy a special treat during their session, which always creates the sweetest candid moments.
There will also be a letters to Santa station where kids can slow down and write or draw something for Santa. It gives them something fun to do while allowing me to capture those little details and expressions that make this season so special.
The Giant Nutcracker Is Back!
My huge nutcracker will also be making his return this year!
This setup is especially fun for little ballerinas who would love a few Nutcracker-inspired photos. It also creates a classic Christmas backdrop for families who simply want something festive and playful.
You don’t have to have a little ballerina to enjoy it. The nutcracker adds a little extra holiday magic to the studio and is always a favorite with the kids.
Holiday Photos That Feel Like Your Family
My goal for these Pittsburgh holiday mini sessions is to give you a mix of images.
Of course, we’ll work toward getting that holiday card photo where everyone is looking and smiling. But we’ll also let the kids enjoy themselves!
They can eat a cookie, sip some milk, write their letters, snuggle with you, and just be kids. Those candid, joyful moments often become some of my favorite images from the entire session.
Holiday photos don’t have to feel stiff or stressful. I want this to be a fun part of your family’s holiday season traditions.
Holiday Mini Sessions in the South Hills of Pittsburgh
Sessions will take place at the studio I use in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, giving us a warm and cozy indoor space without having to worry about November weather.
These mini sessions are a great option if you’re hoping to update your family photos before the holidays, need a photo for your Christmas cards, or simply want to document this season with your kids.
